Those in need

There are so many in our community and beyond in need of support – through financial donations, volunteers, resources, and prayer.

The following are some of the causes our Parish invites you to support with us:

  • Share the Dignity
Share the Dignity is a women’s charity in Australia, that works to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough.
  • Grandparents Rearing Grandchildren
Working towards a positive future for grandparent carers. We enhance the knowledge of grandparents so they can provide their grandchildren with positive outcomes, encourage them to participate, and provide a safe stable environment.
  • St Bartholomew’s House
Since 1963, St Bart’s has been standing by the side of Western Australians experiencing homelessness, mental health challenges, trauma and hardship.
  • Centre for Asylum Seekers, Refugees and Detainees.
CARAD was formed in 2000 when the then Australian government issued Temporary Protection Visas (TPV) which provoked community opposition to this harsh new law. Volunteers started providing basic settlement assistance and support to refugees holding Temporary Protection Visas. Since then, CARAD has been an active campaigner for positive change and social justice in the Australian Government’s refugee determination conditions and process.
