Update 3 April

Good afternoon friends,

We did our first live-stream this morning and have already had some lovely feedback- thank you!

If you haven’t had a look yet, this is how to find it.

Click on the link; https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC07_Yk9-h5ppfXAnltGEVGg you will see St Nicolas Carine Duncraig YouTube on your screen. You might only see the ‘trial’ video from 27th March, but don’t worry- todays is there.

Click on ‘Videos’; then on ‘Uploads’; then on ‘All videos’. Then you will see both the old video AND the live-stream from today. Click on it and away you go!

I’m sorry if it seems a bit fiddly; we are learning as we go and doing our best.

If you are isolating or staying at home to avoid Covid, please don’t forget your offering to the church; we still need to pay the bills. To make your offering using bank transfer or direct debit these are our bank details: Anglican Parish of Carine Duncraig, BSB 706-001, Account 30003057

This morning’s sermon can be found here: https://stnicolasanglican.files.wordpress.com/2022/03/lent-5c-03042022.pdf

You can find lots of information on our website: https://stnicolasanglican.wordpress.com/ including the April newsletter, sermons, and other notices.

Our next Recycling Hub collection date is Saturday 16th April. PLEASE DO NOT bring your recycling to church on any other day; we do not have space to store it between collection days and the Hall could end up looking like a junkyard! Similarly, please don’t leave bags of books or other donations on the ground next to our Anglicare bin. If they are good enough to be donated please put them inside the bin; if it’s full, let me know and we will arrange its collection.

Here is the Collect Prayer of the Week following the Fifth Sunday in Lent:

We thank you, heavenly Father,

that you have delivered us from the power of darkness

and brought us into the kingdom of your Son:

we pray that as by his death he has recalled us to life,

so by his presence abiding in us he may raise us to joys eternal;

through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord,

who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,

one God, now and for ever. Amen.

God bless,

Lorna
