Update 8th Jan

Good morning everyone,

We have been waiting to discover whether current Covid restrictions might change, and it is good to know that the recent outbreak in WA seems to have been small and manageable. We will not need to wear masks at church on Sunday. However, if you are at all concerned please continue to wear a mask if you wish; everyone needs to feel as safe as they can.

Remember to check in on arrival, use hand sanitiser, don’t shake hands, and if you feel at all unwell- please stay at home, for your own wellbeing and that of others. Allan & I are getting our boosters on Monday and I hope you are able to easily access yours.

We will continue to work towards recording or live-streaming services so that in the event of a lockdown, or large numbers of people needing to stay at home, there will be something available for everyone.
From the relative safety of WA we have all watched rapid growth of infection numbers in other states with consternation, wondering what will happen when our state borders open. We will continue to be advised by WA Health and by our Diocese and I will keep you informed.

Here is a pamphlet about Creative Play Workshops for Children; the first one is on Thursday 13th. It is essential to book. The kids have a fabulous time so please let parents know.

Here is a prayer from the Church of England.

Lord Jesus Christ,
you taught us to love our neighbour,
and to care for those in need
as if we were caring for you.
In this time of anxiety, give us strength
to comfort the fearful, to tend the sick,
and to assure the isolated
of our love, and your love,
for your name’s sake.
Amen.
